Mullion Creek After School Hours Care Services

What is it?

Mullion Creek After School Hours Care is a fully supervised recreational program for school aged children from Kindergarten through to Year 6.  Children can participate in a variety of organised activities in a stimulating environment or choose to relax in a safe and nurturing atmosphere.

The program is planned to meet the needs of children and families.  A balance of indoor and outdoor, physically active and passive play options is offered.

Children are encouraged to help in planning their program.  Some of these activities include:

  • Cooking
  • Arts and crafts
  • Sports
  • Games
  • Homework
  • Environmental activities - eg gardening

When is it?

Mullion Creek After School Hours Care operates from the end of the school day until 6:00pm each week night during the school term.  It is non operational during the school holidays or on public holidays.

Where is it?

The care is provided on school premises to maximise convenience.  Children can safely and effortlessly access the After School Hours Care Service.

How much?

Fees are set by the coordinator in conjunction with management.  All families are entitled to a Child Care Benefit from the Family Assistance Office to subsidise their fees.  The coordinator can provide the relevant Service Provider Number and any queries you may have.

Is it safe?

The program follows the Department of Family and Community Services National Standards for Outside School Hours Care (1996) and is registered with National Childcare Accreditation Council for Quality Assurance.

It upholds the right of children to feel safe and respected by acknowledging and valuing each child's personality, developmental level, and their cultural, spiritual and ethnic diversity.
